Our continued commitment to Covid-19 outreach
In early May our youths sewed 2500 face masks for an educational outreach initiative near Mwanza. A huge success! How do we know? We have been asked to sew another 2500 masks! The task will be completed this week.
The Africa School Assistance Project and local government officials have decided to continue their outreach activities. They have identified 2200 local villagers in the Idetemya and Arusha areas, all in need of masks. Thanks to the generous New Jersey donor, who underwrote both rounds of masks, and thanks to our youths’ commitment, 2500 more masks will travel to Mwanza this weekend. This second donation of $1000 will feed 50 of our 80 elders for one month!
This is an example of how our Village Angels are using their skills to move towards financial independence for our programs.
