Angels Here, There and Everywhere!

The Village Angels of Tanzania proudly boasts four generations of angels.  First, there are the elders who receive weekly deliveries of food and basic health care.  When the program started in 2015, there were 60, now there are 80.  The next generation of angels consists of Sr. Dativa and all the people behind-the-scenes in Tanzania and the US.  Then, there are the youths, 16 of them now, who are the backbone of our program.  Theirs are the legs that pedal to each elder’s isolated hut every week; theirs are the outstretched arms that deliver groceries, water, firewood, and soap to every elder; and theirs are the faces that smile into the eyes of these abandoned old people.  Finally, there are also our “baby angels,” little girls who were born to three of our youths.  One father, Muganyizi, who has been working for The Village Angels since its inception, and two mothers, Elisheba and Jovina, who have since left our program to get married, have chosen to name their babies “Angel,” in recognition of their love and esteem for The Village Angels of Tanzania.  Can it get better than this??

Elisheba and Jovina, who left our Youth Program to get married, both decided to name their babies “ANGEL”.
