Gardening With Water

Happiness and smiles on the faces of our youth after they harvest some of the crops that are now growing abundantly due to having water on site from our well.

Since water has become available in our 16-acre piece of land, our youths are working hard to raise crops to be distributed to our elders, and to sell in the local market as a way to make our program more self sufficient. This is what our garden looks like now that water is plentiful. What was a garden of small plants struggling to survive. has become a lush garden with plants growing in abundance.

It is amazing how much difference having a well on site makes in the ability to grow crops. Here is a “before” picture of crops struggling to survive with limited hand watering, using water hauled in from a distance.
